Are you planning a visit to Take Tea for afternoon tea?   Here is what you should know:

​Reservations:

 

Reservations are required. Those with reservations will be admitted five minutes before the starting time. The two-hour duration of a seating will not extend for anyone arriving or joining us late. Parties must include only pre-reserved guests, and there will be a charge for any absent reserved guests.

​

Take Tea is continues to take a conservative approach to providing our hospitality.  Although masks are no longer required, only fully vaccinated and boosted (first two) patrons 12 and older are welcome to join us for tea.*  For our safety, as well as that of our patrons, we are accepting reservations up to 50% - 60% of our capacity at each seating.   (*In the alternative, a guest may follow the May 2023 CDC recommendation.)

For parties of more than 6 guests, we require that you book by email (www.visittaketeainct@gmail.com">www.visittaketeainct@gmail.com).          Please contact the tearoom in that way to coordinate your party.

 Miscellaneous:

  • Take Tea has two entrances, one which is accessible. (Park near our Irish flag.)

  • Prices and menus are subject to change without notice.

  • A 20% gratuity is automatically added to parties of 7 or more guests.​

  • ​Guests who visit grant Take Tea permission to use any photos taken of them by our staff for      promotional purposes including, but not limited to social media, email marketing and on our website.

  • Splitting meals is not permitted.

  • Suggestions for ways to provide better hospitality are welcomed!

Cancellations:

​

For parties of 1-6 guests, afternoon tea reservations may be cancelled at any time that is at least 24 hours  before your scheduled tea time.  Cancellations must be made online (via your confirmation email). With the exception of illness or emergency, we would appreciate 48 hour notice.   (We are a small tea room, operating   at reduced capacity, and these reservations make a difference to our service and  success.)  Parties cancelling     within the 24 hours advance of tea time, as well as "no-shows" may be â€‹â€‹charged for their reservations.

For pre-paid, large parties of 7-16 guests, 72-hr notice is required for a full refund. Please note that we        cannot accommodate "banquet seating". Our tables seat 1-6 persons. Larger parties may be seated at more     than one table.

​​Allergies and Dietary Accommodations:

Disclaimer: Take Tea uses a variety of food products and ingredients to prepare its menu items and as          such disclaims any responsibility for adverse reactions of our guests due to allergy to such products. We         are not a nut free, nor a gluten-free kitchen and cross-contact can occur. All guests should take this into consideration prior to making a reservation. We cannot alter our menu without prior notice and discussion       of your food allergies and religious prohibitions. All concerns must be communicated at the time of the reservation.  HOSTS/HOSTESSES making the reservations are responsible for canvassing their guests regarding their special needs which must be provided to Take Tea, at least 24 hours before afternoon tea.   When available,  items will be substituted to replace items for disclosed allergens.                                  ​Regretfully, we currently cannot fully accommodate the following dietary restrictions:  gluten-free; vegan.

*Take Tea is pleased to offer visitors gifts from Ireland and the British Isles which are available for        purchase from our small, carefully curated gift shop area.  Along with the items imported just for our          shop, we offer various items in our "Jumble Sale" that have been previously loved.  We have take home          tins of some of Harney & Sons most popular teas, and Take Tea is also proud to offer signed copies of       "Scone or Scone: the Essential Guide to British Afternoon Tea" by Jane Malyon, a perfect gift for a tea-     loving friend (or yourself!) Connecticut made Celtic design teapot trivets are also available for the              discerning tea lover, along with bespoke "Cream Tea" tea cloths designed in Cornwall, England.
